No.
It runs further than the name. Each char has a unique ID. |

What is XPTO?
Oh wait, you mean charactar? Avatar = dervish form No, you cannot use armour on other characters, even if it has the same name ( gw uses a unique ID code ) |

this also does not work if you decide to delete a character (but save the armor), and create a new charater with the same name. Each character made seems to generate a unique ID, and even if the name is the same, you can equip the armor..

Why delete and recreate the same character? Other than looks everything else is changable: attributes, 2nd profession, skills, etc.

Sometimes people delete and recreat characters because they want to go for survivor titles....

I'd still leave the old toon on the old account for birthday presents and make a new one on the main account with a new name.

The others are right, even if you name your new character the same as the one you deleted, the new character has a new id string. Anything made for the original character will not workon the new one, even weapons that were customized for it. Also from the start you could never do that, I tried when the game first came out and it wouldn't let me equip the armor from the old character to the new one even though the names were the same.
